Over the course of the last fifty years, the median global temperature has risen at the highest rate in recorded history. Global warming transpires as carbon dioxide, gaseous pollutants, and greenhouse gases collect in earth’s atmosphere and absorb solar radiation that has bounced off of earth’s surface. Both human actions and natural disasters are causes of global warming and the deterioration of earth.
The earth provides protection against the danger of radiation from the sun, but the human expansion of the greenhouse effects results in global warming. My first photo is of earth as seen from space with the focus of the picture on the western hemisphere, and my second photo shows two polar bears in the artic. In the second photo, the two

Everyone in my group understood the theme or came extremely close to understanding it within the first few photos. After viewing the photo of car exhaust, Mackenzie Gallop commented that the album is about global warming because of the filthy streets and clouds of exhaust. Although everyone understood the theme, the order of photos could be changed to increase the impact on the viewer. Emily Tomey mentioned that she would have pinpointed the theme of the album a lot faster if the photo of the healthy polar bears was immediately followed by the photo of the dead polar bear. If the photos were in a different order that separated the natural causes of global warming from the human causes and the photo of the healthy polar bears was placed in front of the dead polar bear photo, the slideshow would be easier to understand and would be more impactful. If a photo was added to the album, the slideshow would become more specific and easier to understand. To conclude the album, a photo depicting a world on fire or of a thermometer displaying a high temperature would make the theme of global warming more apparent. An extra photo would narrow the theme and provide a transition from the first photo of a perfect earth versus an end picture that showed earth destroyed by humans and
