I. Introduction:
In America, slavery already being a common event on 60s. People who have plantation there usually had many slaves to be commanded. However, slavery made black people in America feel treated and tortured. Black people always used to be a slave and always being under the white people.
People used to believe that black people are really strong because of their home in Africa. Many people went to Africa just for kidnap African people to sell them on America as a slave. Slave in America could not fight against the whites.

In his book, Between Slavery and Freedom: Philosophy and American Slavery, McGary stated that, “slaves were brutalized physically and subjected to psychological abuse. Slaves were subject to the whims of their master or mistress. This cruel treatment of slaves did cause their position to be lower than that of the slave holders and non slaves. Yet there was a wide range of behavior sex habited by slaveholders toward their slaves. This behavior ranged from unbelievable cruelty to clearly humanitarian treatment. But even though slaveholders could be kind, slaves knew that cruelty was a mechanism available to the slave holder for keeping them in check.” (McGary, 1992: 4)
On the other hand there were many slaves dead also like Deborah stated in her book African Americans during the Civil War: Slavery in the Americas, stated that “South American slaves were forced to work extremely hard in the tropical heat. The death rate of Caribbean and South American plantation workers was much higher than that of the North American slaves.” (Deborah, 2006:8).
