Timid might explain an abundant amount of society's reaction to a few dog breeds. Others may talk differently about these dog breeds, ranging from “that's a rich person’s dog” to “those dogs seem psychotic”. Have you ever wondered what it seems like for a delivery man coming to a house with a hefty dog or even someone that never shows up at your house? Some of these people may inform you that an abundant number of their encounters with dogs come about to remain quite frightening. Frankly, they undergo these traumatizing moments that in reality should not be. Usually, how these animals grow up and the environment that they remain held in can dictate the way the animal reacts to other people. Throughout my childhood, I have cherished dogs. A delivery man may pull up to a house and see a Pit bull. Most of the time, any dog that sees someone unfamiliar will start barking. The delivery man sees the dog barking and to him that means that he should stay away. In most cases the dog may seem threatening to the delivery man, yet in reality the dog wants to be friendly. Also, owners may train the dog to become vicious. “Owners are inadvertently "teaching" their dogs to go after these people” (Dr. P's Dog Training: Case Histories: Dog Gone Postal?). He/she may also act as an agitator to the dog. Say that a stranger pulls into your driveway, then steps out of their car, and starts walking, very quickly, towards your front door. “Since they have been bitten or chased by so many dogs, they are very leery. So they look sneaky” (Dr. P's Dog Training: Case Histories: Dog Gone Postal?). This would definitely agitate a dog and cause them to lash out.
