I have been a part of the orchestra since the fourth grade. From learning to play the violin, I have gained much more than just learning how to play the instrument. Playing the violin has taught me the importance of patience, and perfection. Firstly, playing the violin taught me that patience is necessary in learning anything. I did not learn certain skills such as vibrato in one lesson. It took months and months of dedication and daily hard work to achieve my goal. Additionally, playing the violin taught me to be a perfectionist and to worry about the details. When playing the violin, if a finger is a dime’s width too high or low on the string, the note is out of tune. If the bow does not stop or play the particular rhythm correctly, it is
