In chapter two Sandra Harding describes four elements that help in constructing a standpoint. Physical location, interest, access to discourse, and, social organization of knowledge production. These elements are a factor in why people have different or similar standpoints on certain topics because location, experiences, race, class, and where people obtain their knowledge from help formulate their opinions.
