This is an accurate way to describe American politics because it’s more like a democracy, where people of different backgrounds and groups can come together and voice their opinion, rather than a single person dictating the decisions (Reynold, 1999). A pluralistic government also has many centers of power, like the American government (Janda, 2008). The American government has many layers of power: the local government, the state government, and the federal government.
