Based on the political debate, I’ve learned many things about the Democratic-Republicans and the Federalists. For example, the Democratic-Republicans believed that having an economy that was based upon agriculture and farming was the best way to succeed. They thought that most citizens were good, and that there should be a more state-centered government so that the people can generally rule themselves. Democratic-Republicans thought that if the constitution didn’t specify something, you can’t read between the lines and make up what you want to do. They also believed that they should help France in the war against England because in the American Revolution, France had helped them.
Audience: The audience that Gregory of Tours is trying to reach is anyone who will listen to his story of the Frank family. It could be any of the general public in the town or outsiders. The differences between the Federalists and the Democratic-Republicans is that they both have different leaders. For Example, the Federalists leader was Alexander Hamilton and they were favored for multiple reasons such as, strong federal government, loosing interpretation of the constitution, they supported the representative government, and the federalists were ruled by the wealthy class. The Democratic-Republicans leader was Thomas Jefferson and they were ruled by the people. They were also favored by multiple reasons for example, they had a strong state government, strict interpretation of the constitution, just to name a few. As you can see they both are absolutely different from each other especially in the war against the French.
Jefferson's democratic-republican party views are always contradictory to the Federalist party founded by Alexander Hamilton. Jefferson believes in small federal government and more powers to individual states, his policies are around people and they should rule the government. Jefferson always follows strict constitutional rules. Jefferson always believed the country economy will improve through the agriculture. Hamilton views are very contrasted to Jefferson's view.
Both Jefferson and Hamilton had differing ideas of how the country should be like. For example, Hamilton wanted an industrial economy while Jefferson wanted an agrarian economy. This, and many differing ideas for the countries policies, caused two parties to form. The Federalists, led by Hamilton and John Adams, wanted a strong central government while the Democratic-Republicans, led by Jefferson and James Maddison, wanted a weak central government. The two parties were somewhat based on geographical discrimination, Federalists were typically from the northern colonies while Democratic-Republicans were typically from the southern colonies.

Its individualistic perspective includes living in moderation, be tough, don’t spend more than you have to, and be honest. Early in the United States’ history, America became divided between two parties: The Federalists and the Democrats. The Federalists were led by Alexander Hamilton, and the Democrats were supported by Thomas Jefferson. These parties disagreed over many different political and economic issues. Although these parties do not exist today, remnants of their policies can still be seen in politics today. Hamilton and Jefferson opposed each other on numerous issues.
Jefferson favored those who were naturally talented, plus he didn’t think you needed to be a wealthy person to be apart of the government. Democratic-Republicans were usually farmers, or those who didn’t want to be controlled by the government. They believed in themselves and that they would be able to govern themselves. The Federalists and Democratic-Republicans had their differences and had few similarities.
The Federalists were led by Alexander Hamilton while the Democratic Republicans were headed by someone who constantly butted heads with Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson. Both parties also differed by class and region, the Federalists were based out of the north and consisted mainly of merchants and the wealthy. On the other hand, Democratic Republicans were from the South and had many farmers. As a result of their region and class differences the political parties had very simple contrasts. While the Federalists desired a strong central government, loose construction, and an economy based on manufacturing and trade, the Democratic Republicans wanted to maintain Revolutionary ideas, strict construction, and an economy based on farming.
All in all, Democratic-Republicans and Federalists have their similarities and also contrast in multiple ways. Democratic-Republicans and Federalists don 't want a monarchy, but, Federalists wanted a wealthy class rule, while Democratic-Republicans wanted a people
Republicans and Democrats have very different ideas where it comes to the business environment. Republicans tend to oppose increasing minimum wage where businesses keep costs low so they can prosper and all Americans can have access to services and products. Both the Democrats and the Republicans like to think of themselves as the true heirs of Thomas Jefferson. The modern Democrats are historically descended from the Democratic-Republican Party that Jefferson himself organized to thwart the ambitions of Alexander Hamilton (although, ironically, they were known as "Republicans" in Jefferson 's time).
