Thomas Morton’s article, Oh This Is Great, wants people to have a greater understanding on what’s going in our world. People need to understand that our ocean is a pile of trash. As Morton stated, “The ocean is downstream of everything.” Considering the fact, people are thoughtlessly tossing their trash onto the floor, are sadly ending up into the ocean- where our food chain is greatly affected by.
We can only move forward from today and do as much as we can to make the Pacific Ocean a safe place for these species. It comes from simple things such as picking up small pieces of litter and making sure litter goes in the trash
I agree that saving underwater sea animals is important. Sea otters have been dying at a higher than normal rate . Their health can tell us a lot about the whole
Do you remember that day that you and your family took a trip to that one park? That one that you got to see many different types of sea animals, dolphins putting on shows, and getting to even interact with the sea animals in a great learning experience. That park is SeaWorld. When you were there, you might have not noticed the stuff that was happening behind the scenes. Lately, the animals have been very sad and not living healthy lives.
What we need to do is recycle more. We need to keep our world clean and not full of trash. Some people just think it is alright to throw their garbage out the window of their car and think that nothing will happen. Well, that 's not true! Animals that see it think of it as food and once they get into it they may get stuck or get cut on the thing that you threw out.
People want to see change; some have even suggested SeaWorld closing for good and releasing all the animals back into the wild. However, preparing the animals to be released is costly
We live in a world where marine life eat our trash, while at the same time, people go days without having something to eat. It is a sad but devastating reality. Everyday the world’s oceans continue to become a universal junkyard. Marine pollution continues to grow exponentially on the one resource that separates us from the rest of the universe. On land, there is a different problem.
On a report in 2006 called Plastic Debris in the World’s Oceans, It was estimated that at least 267 different animal species have suffered from entanglement and ingestion of plastic debris. Some species are consumers of jelly fish, but often mistake plastic bags for their natural prey, which obstructs the oesophagus of sea turtles therefor killing them. It has been estimated that about 400,000 marine mammals die annually due to plastic pollutions in the ocean. As said by Friedrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra
When one thinks of a veterinarian, most associate this job title with treating dogs, cats, horses, cows, and other farm and companion animals. However, a relatively small field not known by the general population is that of marine veterinary medicine. If one has a passion for the water and a desire to help the creatures in it, marine veterinary medicine just may be the perfect career. Marine veterinarians are responsible for “conducting basic exams and evaluations, giving vaccinations, taking samples of blood and other bodily fluids, prescribing and distributing medication, evaluating behaviour, performing surgical procedures, and taking x-rays and sonograms” (Kramer “Life of an Aquatic Veterinarian”).
Keeping Guns Away From Schools So far this year there has been 52 school shootings, with 30 people killed and 53 others injured. Guns should be away from school because innocent people and kids are being killed. Children should be living a long and happy life. But, why do they do this?
Animals being effected by trash, such as plastic, ending up in the ocean, the forest, and neighborhood parks are being quickly wiped
If art and literature, mathematics, science, economics, statistics, history and religion is taught, why not teach the fundamental importance of ecological conservation? “Students are like sponges and observe information well if they learn about it starting at their early childhood education and throughout their school years. They should be aware of the importance of recycling, and therefore I strongly believe each school district should implement into their lesson plans a lesson of recycling in order for the students to begin recycling themselves” (Permalink). Molding children’s mind to be conscious about the importance of environment
And last but not least, the mammals should not be kept captive because they suffer from boredom. The next time you go to a marine park think about how the animals are

The ocean is nowadays undergoing numerous environmental issues that further lead to marine pollution. Marine pollution is a very serious environmental issue that most of the countries of the world encounter. Aquatic littering is considered as one of the major causes of marine environment. The misleading use of the marine environment is extremely impacting the marine life and ecosystems. Moreover, the total amount of toxins and debris discharged by human beings is incredibly increasing in today 's world.
