In the novel you see ponyboy’s view of the Socs and how it evolves from the beginning of the book to the end.

It was a battle between the Socs and Greasers and a 14 year old greaser, named Ponyboy, is caught in the middle of it all. This will teach a young horse to show respect for the trainer and give the horse a positive mindset. Exercising a young horse can be extremely beneficial for the development of their muscles, joints, and tendons (“Conditioning Young Horses 1”). The first three years of a horse’s life are very important for the mental and physical development of the young horse. A young horse will normally be easier to train under saddle once you have developed a relationship with the horse on the ground.
What makes someone an outsider? In Tulsa, S.E. Hinton went to a large high school and in all large high schools they would have different groups. Everyone would stay in their own groups as they grew up S.E. thought it was idiotic. She made the book The Outsiders which had the socs and the greasers S.E. would get letters from kids who told her they also had the two groups in there school but they had different names for them.
Ponyboy’s initial attitude towards the Socs was all about looking cool and tuff all the time. He was raised that way, trained to hate the rich. “Greasers can’t walk alone too much or they’ll get jumped.” This shows that Ponyboy was trained at a very young age to be on the lookout for Socs at all times.

I believe that the FFA organization is the best group to be a part of. In high school rodeo, I always do anything to make my equine athletes feel their best. Our horses travel together so much that they pretty become a team. My horses, parents, and myself are a great team. My parents and I take care of the horses, while the horses take care of us. The horses love their job and being able to have one instead of doing nothing.
The boys and girls club has many great sports activities to join in to help get kids out of the street and become more active in their community. They are there for you when you need them the most and you make so many new positive friends through the activities they have. Camp voyageur was my favorite camp they made you feel wanted and you never felt left out the camp leaders helped you become a leader and made you feel more independent. Boys and girls club have shown me a lot in life and I want to further my education so that someday I can give back to them. With all of my reasons why I want to further my education the most important reason is so I can give back to my family and community one day.

In the field the horse needs to have a leader. A specific example in his book is the “Hula-Hoop Method,” This method teaches the horse that he must respect his owner’s personal space by making him back up with a whip unless he has been invited in.
