Monday through Friday I stayed with my grandmother and great aunt, so that I could go to school. I was in elementary school at the time. I use to listen to my uncle play different types of music on his stereo so that he could mimic the sound with the instruments he was playing. I used to sing along with him dreaming that one day I would be able to sing just like the singers on the albums my uncle would play to. As time went on, my mother met a man that she felt was a good man.
Lapedo Child was another treasure in the scientific world. At first, it looked like a regular child skeleton that had been specially buried in a spiritual ritual. Even the ochre stained bones, animal bones, charcoal, tiny traces of pollen, the four deer teeth and two periwinkle shells did not raise too much of an attention. Nor did the fact that Lapedo Child was just four when he died, of unknown causes. Everything about Lapedo Child indicated he was a modern human.
“....I believe in immersing the Indian in our civilization and when we get them under, holding them there until they are thoroughly soaked.”, said Richard Henry Pratt. Richard Pratt founded the United States’ first indian boarding school. Carlisle Indian Industrial School was established in the year of 1879 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Indian Boarding Schools were created to decimate traditional indian culture, and replace it with white, american culture. There were a plethora of indian boarding schools established in the United States.
During the beginning of modern Europe, there were conflicting views on the proper way to view children. Previously in history, the infant mortality rate was very high, so kids were treated more like adults and were often neglected because odds were they would die. There was a resounding view that kids should be treated harshly in order to become strong. Then in the seventeenth century, the idea of being tender and gentle to your kids was introduced. The way in children were brought up was influenced by assumptions made on both old and new schools of thought.
The song “Day N Nite” by Kid Cudi and the television series 13 Reasons Why discuss what it is like to have depression. 13 Reasons Why was released in 2017 and was a TV show targeted toward teens about a high school girl who moved to a new school and became depressed, then ended up passing away due to suicide. I watched this show in seventh grade because it was trending on Netflix, and all my friends had watched it. The song “Day N Nite” was released in 2008; however, I discovered it probably closer to 2016 or so when it became popular again. This song is about Kid Cudi’s depression and his experience with it.

While this period in my life was crazy hectic and quite interesting, it wont be the focus today. What I am here to talk about today is myself in the present, and how my non-traditional childhood has made me different. Different and more prepared than 90% of the kids my age for adult life and the challenges there in. Responsibility, "The state or fact of having a duty to deal with something, or having control over someone". Some of my very first responsibilities
The purpose of my reflection and artifacts is to provide you with information about my learning skills and experience that I have gained during my studies for the Early Childhood Education program. My experience throughout the course was fun especially on my Virtual Child Assignment because it was an interesting journey. I have discovered about the development and behaviour for my child Neel. This course had a good impact both on me and my learning skills because I had the opportunity to apply my knowledge skills ages and safety, the health and safety practise which I believe is important for a child. Secondly the most important part that I found in the virtual assignment was the working step by step process about the Child’s growth hence, I learned the importance of the health and safety practises which are very important for me to work as an Early Childhood Educator.

Use of Children in Uganda The year 1986 to today thousands of children are being taken to be used as soldiers in a rebel army. The rebels steal, beat, kill and cut anyone who is not useful to them and it’s creating havoc for the country. The kids are asked to do unimaginable things, no child should have to be forced to serve in a cause they don’t believe in for political power; the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) needs to be stopped due to the inhumane acts of the rebels and the kids should return home. Boys and girls are taken from their homes to spend years with these rebels and often they return home with severed limbs and rage that takes years to get rid of.
My mom was working late, so she had me, babysat by her co-worker’s daughter, Sonia. She was also babysitting her annoying little brother Micha so he had to come over as well. I hadn’t seen them for about two years. I remember when we were younger Micha and I were playing super hero and villain. Micha was the hero
The entitlement and provision for early years education is funded by the government via local authorities and is accessable for young children for up to two years, prior to going to school. The Every Child Matters and the Childcare Act 2006, are government agenda 's that decree that every child between the age of 3 and 4 is entitled to have free early years education for the two consecutive years, but is limited to 15 hours over a 38 week period in a year. The motive behind this initiative is ensuring that children from disadvantaged and under privileged backgrounds have equal opportunities to advantaged children, once they reach the schooling age, and parents are not expected to finacially contributed during their child 's early years education unless their child exceeds the
Listening to children The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child shows a child’s right to his or her own views in all matters and the right to the freedom of expression. This includes the right to receive and be part of information about themselves. All people around children need to make sure that rights are upheld and matters affecting children are looked after. Children can experience worries at home, at school or with their peers and children need to talk about their issues. Parents, professionals and practitioners need to pay attention not only to what children say, but also what they are saying.
Then 9 months later on February 16, 1999, at 3:10 am my precious son came out of my womb and placed on my chest. It was the most amazing experience ever, but also extremely exhausting thing ever! I was in the hospital for about another week till the doctor told me to go home, funny thing is that I got discharged on my birthday February 21, 1999, which I turned 16. At first, it felt like being a mother was easy, but in reality, it wasn 't because I also had to go to school plus he would always wake me up in the middle of the night, and be in an extreme of exhaustion. I started missing school more and more till I finally dropped out.
My mother knew that that day she was gonna have me, but she wanted to go through with the conference just to get it over with. The teacher that was giving them the conference knew that she was in pain mid way of the meeting and that's when she said that she was gonna go. After that my parents rushed to the hospital alone. I was the fourth, and last child to be born. At the time my oldest brother was 14, then sister was 12, and then my other brother was 9.
