The increasing fear of Communism was a negative effect of the Cold War for life in the United States. Another key thing to remember, is the Rosenberg trial was when Julius and Ethel were said to be doing espionage by Ethel's brother they were later arrested. They were trialed with no evidence except for what Ethel's brother said. They were sentenced to death and the government found actual proof after their death. This demonstrates, negative effect of the Cold War because they were arrested and sentenced to death without any evidence which is violating their human rights. They did this because of how fearful they were of Communism spreading in the country. Likewise, McCarthy was the senator of Wisconsin he claimed to have a list of names
