Drug addiction is a state of periodic or chronic intoxication produced by a repeated consumption of a drug, whether synthetic or natural, and found to be detrimental to the individual and the society.(WHO, 2010) One of the most popular and abused kinds of drug is marijuana. This drug is classified as hallucinogens. Drugs under this classification are known to affect a person’s sensation, way of thinking, self-awareness and emotions. It makes a person hallucinate. A person who uses marijuana experiences the following: dizziness, shallow breathing, red eyes and dilated pupils, dry mouth, slow reaction time.
