David told the cops that he was in the car when Randal Dale Adams shot the gun. The cops then began to question Randal Dale Adams and had him sign a statement which only stated what the two men had done during the day and that they had passed by where the murder took place and that was a false confession given by Adams. There were also two eyewitnesses who also had claimed to see the car and identify Adams as the person who shot the officer. The police were determined to find the killer because it was one of their fellow officers. When the case went to trial and there was a false confession by Adams, eyewitnesses along with the officer who had been in the car stating that the person who killed her partner had the same color hair as Adam the jury found Randal Dale Adams guilty.
On the night of the murder, five drunken Socs pull up on the street and attacked Johnny and Ponyboy. One of the Socs tried drowning Ponyboy while at the same time Johnny felt threatened by another Socs named Bob which led to Johnny killing him in self defense. Johnny is justified in what he did and is not guilty because he was defending himself from the Socs. The Socs had threatened to harm Johnny and Ponyboy earlier that night and Johnny recognized Bob as someone who had attacked him before. Johnny recognized Bob from the last time he got jumped in the abandoned lot.
Someone had put the key in the house, why would they take the key out, to ensure the car was not going to get moved off the property. They placed bullets in the garage, but Teresa wasn't shot, she would have most likely been strangled to death on the bed. The blood in the car had been placed. The blood vial of Stevens was punctured and tampered with. Why would Steven have been in the car besides to move it?
In today’s society, many people make bad decisions. In the novel, Monster by Walter Dean Myers, the narrator explains how one bad choice can lead to another. Steve Harmon, the narrator, was accused of being the lookout for a robbery which led to the murder of Mr. Nesbit and he goes on trial, debating whether he was an accessory to the murder. After reading the novel, one might think that Steve is not guilty because he didn’t kill Mr. Nesbitt and no witnesses saw him in the store. The jury has to decide if he was guilty for the murder, if he was guilty of being the lookout, and he even questions his innocence.
While this is a hyperbole, it serves to show the readers that the investigation began utterly clueless, with no leads to anywhere. This effectively creates an even larger aura of suspense, as the readers are left wondering if the killers are ever going to be caught, and if the Clutters’ will receive their
The evidence will show that the State's main witness, Jay Wilds, who was allegedly involved in the aiding of the victims murder, is an unreliable witness. Jay’s testimony has many inconsistencies and misleading information. During Jay’s interrogation with the police, he changes multiple parts of his story. The following are a few of the modifications the witness made, one Jay states to have refused to help in the digging of the victims grave but later reforms his story and states he did. Two, Jay told police Adnan informed him about his plan to murder Ms. Lee the day the murder occurred but later alters his story and says Adnan had frequently mentioned killing her.

One might want to read this novel, to see what makes an average man want to kill and to also see their psychological being leading up to it. This creates a mystery in the eyes of the reader to see why they did such a horrendous crime. The author’s purpose for writing this novel was to give the reader a different perspective on criminals. Capote uses a sympathetic tone when he talks about the histories of the criminals. He creates an emotional connection between the reader and the criminals because Capote allows the reader to get to know the criminal’s pasts, telling of the hardships the criminals have faced throughout their lives.

As you are shown in the film, after the identification of Brenton Butler and his so-called testimony to investigators, the police and prosecutors just stopped working on the case. Thus, evidence that would have supported Butler’s innocence and help find the actual killer weren’t discovered until Brenton’s defense attorney, Pat McGuinness did some investigation and research of his own. Thus, flowing from film from the trial to McGuinness’s investigation scenes shows the how he attained the information that he and his partner could present in the courtroom. While the prosecutors only had the one eyewitness, who claimed to have only caught a glimpse of the shooter and gave description that did not even match Butler. The film presents the conclusion that the police did not actually do the work to find the actual killer and if it wasn’t for Pat McGuinness and his partner wanting to find the culprit, it would never actually be solved.

After meticulously analyzing, “Home” by Anton Chekhov, the use of psychoanalytic criticism represents Seryozha as a flamboyant character because of his repression, conscious/unconscious mind and symbolic behavior.
