When given an opportunity that is too hard to resist, the temptation of oneself will cause him or her to jump at the chance. A similar situation occurs in Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities. Throughout the novel the two social classes, the nobility and the peasants, find themselves in possession of power. A game forms as the power passes back and forth between the two classes to see who can hold onto it for the longest period of time.
