Since we have been reading All Things Fall Apart i have noticed that okonowko always feels the need to be in control or act like the higher power. it is like he wishes to lead the Umuofia people as their leader and gain the power and respect a leader gets. what i find really interesting is that him not noticing that his greed is the one destroying his family and his relationships. when he heard of Nwoye converting instead of asking why he was or being rational with him; instead he beat him heavily. For Nwoye he finds comfort in chirstiantiy for things that have long disturbed him. But the religion also provides him with a way to rebel against his father.
