I believe keeping orcas in captivities is not humane .To keep orcas in a zoo for display is acceptable, but it is morally unacceptable to use them for entertainment at SeaWorld. I saw the film Blackfish and now, I resent SeaWorld. They care more about profit than animal welfare. Keeping these sentient animals in captivity for an extended period of time causes them severe psychological damage, as evidenced by several killer whale attacks on trainers.

Many higher education institutions in America have adopted policies regarding trigger warnings. Trigger warnings is a broad term that can be adopted to mean different things for different people. Generally, trigger warnings are supposed to be a warning to students about the content that will be discussed in a reading or lecture due to the sensitive nature of the material. There are many misconceptions about the purpose and use of trigger warnings. It is my personal belief that trigger warnings should be disclosed when sensitive material will be covered in a class.
A remote island that has remained uninfluenced by humans is now on the verge of losing its wolf population due to genetic deformities. The island is called Isle Royale and its once abundant wolf inhabitants have now dwindled to three remaining wolves. This leaves many scientists and researchers with the question of what actions to take in order to save the wolves from extinction. After researching and gathering information, it is clear that the best way to save these wolves is for humans to immediately introduce more wolves to the island in order for the island to flourish, genetic variation to expand, and the number of wolf offspring to rise.
When I first started researching Fisher vs. Texas, I believed discrimination in college applications was very wrong and unlawful. I believed everyone should have a fair opportunity to go to the school of their choice. As I researched the issue more, it became apparent to me that diversity is truly important to our learning experiences while in college. In college, diversity has taught me many different viewpoints and has helped me understand different cultures. The learning aspect is important but I also believe that students that come from poorer communities and challenging childhoods should have an opportunity to attend top universities.
This essay will be exploring rouge sharks and will be expressing an informed opinion on why they should be conserved in most of the situations. In this essay points that will be discussed will be not limited to how sharks kill a relatively small amount of people, that sharks do not enjoy eating people and that. The main point that I would like to get across is that sharks do not like to eat people, after one bite they generally don’t come back for another taste as we as people don’t have enough fat or flesh on our body for a shark to bother eating us along with the fact that we are very bony compared to a sharks regular prey such as seals, smaller fish and even other smaller sharks which means that the sharks have evolved to digest those animals with small bones or hardened cartridge and not our big thick bones.
As our book states, in the 1970s, the children that resided in orphanages had to live in extremely depraved conditions due to lack of funding. They had no interaction with adults, other children, or even the outside world. They almost never left their cots which they slept on. These cots were also surrounded by sheets so they never were able to see other humans or the outside. The children in these orphanages that were never adopted never recovered from the years of deprivation and therefore, developed permanent cognitive defects (Cacioppo & Freberg, 2013).
In life some feel the need to prove something to others. That they are better, stronger, or even more intelligent. Whatever the case may be people will go through extreme measures to prove themselves. But who do we really need to prove anything to? Is it our parents?
