Education in the United Kingdom, the United States and Ecuador, is divided into primary, secondary and higher education.
Primary education in Ecuador begins as of 5 years of age as in the United Kingdom, unlike the United States, primary education begins at 6 years of age. Primary education in the United Kingdom is divided into two cycles that are called Keys Stages, the first goes from 5 to 7 years and the second from 7 to 11 years, unlike the United States education, Elementary School goes from 6 to 11 years and then gives way to Middle School but this is recognized as part of high school.
