Introduction:
Education is a basic need of every human being. Every country has their own education system with a motive of “to make their people well educated and civilized”. Schools, colleges, universities, Affiliation Boards, teacher, lecturers, professors, students etc all these entities form the system called an educations system. So we can say that:
“Education Education system is a collection of interrelated entities or components that work in collaboration to achieve the common goal i.e. educate the students.”
In the coming part of this paper we are going to compare and contrast the education of United Kingdom (UK) and United States of America (USA), two most famous countries in the field of education.
Compare and Contrast between UK and USA Education System
1. Stages
UK education system consists of five stages or levels that are early years, primary, secondary, Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE). On the other hand USA system is quite different than UK, in USA there are four stages of education: primary school, secondary school, undergraduate (UG) and graduate.

Semester system is followed by most of the universities and schools in both countries some universities also follow the trimester or quarter system. Difference is in the beginning of the term; In UK most of the schools starts in September or October and end in May or June on the other hand the education system is bit more varied. While most of the schools start their term in mid to late August and end in may. Some small art college may start later. Odd semester ends in December and even semester starts in mid January after long holiday break. Holidays in both education systems depends on the different aspects like government holidays, summer break, winter break, special holidays
