Have you ever seen people walking slow by you with their phones one their hands? Paying no attentions to where they are walking, careless of where they are walking and the time their are wasting, but instead, playing games like pokemon go which has recently become popular, or a social media type of app, that causes serious dangers. According to a recent study published in The Daily Mail, they revealed that an average normal person spend time on technology for about 8 hours and 21 minutes a day. It is insane. Google started to take over lots of company such as Youtube, Android, and Google Maps. Facebook is related to Instagram company right now, and others as well. Because of these inventions, each of human privacy is not “privacy” anymore, but rather we well know each others private informations of others through social networks. This is how technology makes us so compacted tight. Just like the characters of the Fahrenheit 451, for instance, Mildred, is indeed uncontrollable from the power of technology. On page 20, Mildred says, “It’ll be even more fun when we can afford to have the fourth wall installed. How long you figure before we save up and get the fourth wall torn out and a fourth wall-TV put in? It’s only two thousand dollars.” Mildred mentions this because she is too controlled. There are already 3 TVs in her parlor, but still she wants another digital screen means that she is addicted. Mildred rather prefers to be isolated than getting involved as a part of a community. It is possible that a human can addict to entertainment like me as usual in games, but what really makes is a crack of relations. Montag also had sort of this issue before although after affected by Clarisse, he became wise and found out the reality of human, he was a legal firemen who only followed the regulations that has been made in his society.
