Anyone could audition to become a member of the group, and prospective members were adjudicated by current group members. Ms. Reeves Allen put no ceiling on her group. By offering an unlimited number of members, everyone that was deserving of a position with the group received one. The Beginners group focused on basic training, building a technical foundation, and body awareness. The Intermediate group focused on expanding the technical knowledge and foundation built in the Beginners level, and introduced a focus on movement quality, choreographic abilities, and a development of musicality.
it teaches you a lot’’ (43 years) Participant 2 (RP-C) said: I was irregularly playing with my team because the coach was overly enthusiastic, he made us do too much and I had fatigue all the time. I have been regular for the past seven months ever since we had a new coach. …….she listens, understands and approachable (29 years)
The biggest headaches I get are from those students who have no training and no experience—yet they’re certain they have a divine gift or instinct for executive protection. These students are trainable, but they might have to repeat the class after some field experience to really understand what is new and different about this discipline. Repeating my classes is always free, and some lessons are much more real to students the second time around. I have a great track record with the quality of students who have come through my school.
Along with the opportunity to participate in the dance program comes the lesson of discipline. The dance program requires a commitment of ninety minute practices Monday-Friday and a four hour practice every Saturday. Not only do the children learn discipline through coaching and practice, they must also keep their grades at or above a “B” average. The group began performing at festivals in the local area which gained them lots of positive recognition. In 2009, they were invited to the United States to perform in several cities in Colorado.

For many years I have been known for being a very talented athlete. But what many people do not know is that I was once in the Elba Marching band. Being in the band has taught me a lot of things, like reading music, discipline and organization. The most interesting thing about the band was that we had to learn how to read music. At first this was a challenge for me, but I soon got the hang of it.
When I ended my sophomore year, I felt as if I was on top of the world. My grades were top tier, I had a successful soccer season, and I had just been assigned the drum major position in my school’s marching band. However about halfway through the following summer, I was diagnosed with depression. Instead of trying to fight through my condition, I allowed myself to slink deeper and deeper into an abyss. I knew that in my tenure as drum major, I would need to have a stable mind in order to be effective and have a possible impact on the band
So much has happened to me in my 14 years of living! I’ve changed schools twice, made the Rocky Mountain Ballroom team, and met my best friends ever in the 2nd grade. So much more has happened in my life but these are some of the best things! All of these have helped me get through thick and thin. Changing schools the first time was pretty rough.
The overall objective of our band is to put on the best show possible. With each year, the hardest obstacle is training the rookies. They have to be just as disciplined and have the same conditioning as the older members to be able to carry out the drill. As one of the older members, it’s our job to guide them
Hello. So this is gonna be a really honest talk. This year 's been miserable for us for this entire year. We 've done our best to hold this group back, we 've had crappy attitudes, we 've done everyrthing incorrectly. And I 'm generalising, it 's not everyone.
On Tuesday, May 10, I had the opportunity along with my husband to listen to a jazz band at the Grand Theater bar in downtown Grand Have. I must admit I have never been a jazz fan, but this group did grab my attention. We had a nice dinner while relaxing and listening to the band. The band started out as a trio – drums, bass, and guitar. Halfway through their second set another guitarist joined in.
We played four songs, two of which were senior solo pieces. The
They put students together in a group to teach them
Throughout my training, I implemented various strategies for engaging students in small groups and rigorous lessons. My role as a teacher is to communicate effectively, be respectful, and have self-worth and confidence. I did fear making wrong choices throughout this field experience. I set high expectations the students to achieve high goals. Teaching to me opened doors to many students’ lives.
