The Process of Becoming President of The United States Are you a US citizen and are tired of seeing how The United States is run and want to change it yourself? If so then you might consider running for office of The President of The United States (POTUS). Some people might shy away from the idea of running for The President of The United States since it is a arguably the most important job in the whole nation. The first step into being a possible POTUS is to know the requirements. Technically there are only three requirements to be POTUS. The very first requirement is you must be at least 35 years old. Secondly, you must have lived in the US for at least 14 years. Finally you must have been a natural born citizen in the US. If you don 't meet all three of those requirements you are unfortunately ineligible! If you do meet all three of those requirements and wish to run, great!
