Professional athletes provide entertainment for citizens all across the world and get paid for playing a sport that they truly love. They have to keep their bodies in peak condition at all times to ensure that they will be able to compete at a high level, day in and day out. To become a Professional athlete you have to dedicate your whole life to playing the sport, because you will be traveling the world to compete with other players just as talented as yourself. There is a big debate going on about whether or not professional athletes are overpaid, some people feel they are overpaid and other people feel that they receive the right amount of money for playing a sport professionally. People feel that the salaries of professional athletes are excessive and that they get paid way too much money, when their job is not that important compared to others. I believe that Professional athletes should be paid those millions of dollars, because they work in an industry that has the money to pay them those high salaries. If it was not for the viewers watching the games and buying the merchandise, sports franchises would not have the money to pay professional athletes as much money as they do. If someone thinks athletes make too much money, maybe they should stop watching the games or buying team products, because they are the one making them their money so there is no need to complain. I also feel that if it was someone else in the position of professional athletes, or their wife, brother, sister, daughter, son, etc, bringing home all that money, they would not be complaining about whether or not they get paid too much. I just feel that there is no need for people to get mad or complain about how much someone is getting paid, because that is how the sports world
