A cell is a basic unit of life, without cells there would be no life on earth. Cell are building block of all living things without cells there would be no life on earth. Both eukaryotes and prokaryotes were first introduced by a Frenchman Edouard Chatton in 1938. Prokaryote is a unicellular organism that lacks the nucleus and other membranous organelles.
