The Commonwealth Government implemented many wartime strategies, controlling the daily life of Australian citizens throughout WW2. Rationing the distribution of resources encouraged a resourceful spirit amongst the Australian public, whilst limiting everyday essentials. The use of propaganda became a more intrusive control by the Commonwealth government, as they interfered with beliefs as well as actions, regarding enlistment, the war effort and opinions towards enemy soldiers. The heavy censorship of information during WW2, had a significant impact on the Australian understanding of war as apposed to the horrifying realities, censorship also worked to protect military information from enemy interception, however at a strong cost to the freedom
Propaganda is in all aspects of daily life , from advertisements on tv to buy a certain product ,to campaign posters and stickers promoting a candidate. Propaganda is around us twenty four seven. It persuades a personal opinion in a good way , but in some cases it does just the opposite. Propaganda comes in many forms such as glittering generalities,stacked cards,negative attacks , endorsements , and many more .It's used in a time of need such as the civil war and in time of want such as elections and advertisements of a product.

Soon women began to help build war materials and resources that could help win the war or help rebuild after the war. There was never victory for the Axis because of all the support from men, “Women power” and children. A lot of posters that were put up helped encourage the americans and gave them spirit. The Vietnam War can be a sensitive topic for almost everybody that you have a conversation with, but why is this subject so sensitive? In the movie Saving Private Ryan there are many different conventions about being in the war. I believe that one convention stands out over the rest, and that is propaganda against war. In the beginning scene where the soldiers are on Omaha Beach at the beginning of D-Day shows the true horrors of war. This battle opens up to the brutal destruction that war takes a toll on everyones lives. As these soldiers are risking their lives for their country, their are many of lives that are lost and how this effects their loved ones dramatically.
Pro-Life Everyday people line up outside of abortion clinics protesting against it. But these people are only worried about saving the baby’s life for that moment. War propaganda is created to exploit the publics attitude and their view towards war. This piece of war propaganda was designed to captivate anyone who looks at it and make them reflect on the war. It evokes emotion towards the issue without creating a verbal discussion and influences people to sympathize with what they the artists illustrate in this case, those fighting for Iraq.
