Refugees are motivated, ambitious, and firm people. Refugees want to support themselves and their family, they just need asylum.Despite the fact that refugees do cause certain risks to the European Union (EU) and its countries, the EU should consider the benefits that refugees provide.Refugees have many positive impacts on the country. According to the paper The Telegraph it may appear that countries that accept the many refugees may face the problem of overpopulation. Mark Harper, a British immigration minister, strongly believes that if the proper control is not enacted, overcrowding will cause damage to the communities and resources will be stretched thin. This evidence suggest that overpopulation has many negative affects on the society. These effects are based on the limitation of resources and a great pressure on the local benefits, such as the health services being limited and the accommodations will have a decreased status. However, Mark Harper fails to mention that theses problems can be fixed by the refugees. According to the Foreign Policy refugees are a group of people that are inspired, daring. Refugees want to succeed, work and support their families and friends, this is why they are a good help to the economy. This demonstrates that even though some refugees could cause problems because they increase the chance of overpopulating a country, the refugees can also help the country by supporting the economy. By increasing the working population the economy is supported and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increase. The increase in the GDP and the advance of the economy can lead to many benefits for the EU countries. Such benefits are the increase of quality of life due to more employment opportunities and the increase in the workforce productivity .This evidence illustrates that refugees can influence the economy.
