There are twenty-seven amendments to the constitution. Many of these amendments are outdated or unjust. In this paper I will discuss which amendments I’ve chosen and the pros and cons of each one.

The sixteenth amendment, passed July 2, 1909,establishes Congress’s right to impose a Federal income tax. This amendment, for a period of time, prevented the need for the United States to have a professional standing government. This amendment provides citizens the right to protect themselves without restrictions from the government.
