The Chinese civilization from 100 C.E. to 600 C.E. rose as one of the major unified empires. While this society grew, there were aspects of culture and politics stayed the same but many changes also occurred. As the empire developed, family units and social classes remained stagnant. Despite these continuities, changes such as the popularity of Buddhism within society due to Indian missionaries and a shift in political rule occurred. During the time period 100 C.E. to 600 C.E. the family unit system remained intact despite the intellectual advances.
The population is slowly decreasing from the country mainly because of this policy. This sudden decrease is mainly affecting the farmers of China who mostly rely on their children to do the farm work. The population plummet really took a toll on the parent farmers and their children. The parents abused that one child and forced that child to do all of the farm work. (Document B).
The question is, is this a good or bad policy that was placed upon China. China’s policy was a good idea because the children are the center of attention, it eases the pressure on the environment, and the children get a better education. The children in China are the center of attention in their family. “A.J. Song, 23, is the only child in his family…”

The Yuan Dynasty was a successful dynasty. They unified all of China under one ruler, something that hadn’t been done in over 300 years. They re-built the 51 mile long Grand Canal, and they made advancements in mathematics and astronomy. Trade expanded, and Kublai Khan had his military protect the Silk Road trade routes that connected Asia to Mediterranean Europe and Northern Africa. It is difficult for anyone, regardless of technology or knowledge to unify a landmass as large as China under one ruler, but Genghis and Kublai Khan did it swiftly and effectively.
All around the United States, there are people who probably never got the chance to go to college, not because they didn’t want to or weren’t motivated enough, but instead they couldn’t afford to go. One solution that would help people in a flattening world is free community college for two years. A majority of people have given up on the idea of college simply because it’s too expensive.
The Chinese have a very rich history filled with a very unique culture that is seen no where else in the world. When the Chinese migration began during the Gold rush ,many of the Chinese men left their families in china and came to Australia to make money for their families in China. During their time in Australia, they were the subject of racial profiling and were considered inferior to the European Australians. However the Australians were not able to accept these people from a different country as according to the Europeans, Australians looked different. The Chinese however, never gave up and stayed as they needed to provide for their families back home.
