Spending time alone inside a sound and light proof floatation tank is anything but a new phenomenon, as a matter of fact, floatation therapy has been in existence for more than half a century, the roots of which can be traced back towards the end of the swinging sixties and early 1970's, when the first commercial experimental tank filled with warm Epsom Salts was invented by Dr. John C. Lilly, who was, among other things, a physician, neuroscientist, psychoanalyst and an inventor in his own accord.
