There are many different ideas on how genocide in North Korea can be solved, most based on how genocide has been solved in the past. Ideas like sending resources to North Korea, initiating war, and coming to an agreement with the leader of the country. The first idea being to send resources in the country is a possibility. With the technology of today and the vast influence of the United States it would not be hard to provide for this country. However one problem is that North Korea is so cut off and isolated that the leader will not accept any outside help. So why not just drop material in crates? But by how things are run in North Korea the people believe that the outside world is much worse than what they are used to, so why would they be receiving things they don’t have from other countries? Most likely the leaders would not reveal any material that was dropped and just keep it for the superiors of the country. The next idea is to take down the government by war. There are pros and cons to this idea, though. Pros being it could work and many victims would be saved. Also there is a big chance instead of making a world war many countries would be on the defending side rather than on North Koreas side (Leitenber, 2002). A con could be the unpopular vote for initiating war. The majority of Americans are scared to start a war thinking it could escalate, and with the power of today’s nuclear weapons that could be total destruction and death for millions of people (Leitenber, 2012). The last idea is to come to an agreement with the leader. This has been tried many times before and at one point there was a form of communication, but ever since the United States sent a letter of warning to the country, all communication has been cut off (Stanek, 2014). All of these are possibilities could be reconsidered with different approaches but that all lies on whether society is willing to take that
