An escaped north korean explains that anyone living in north korea has a life forced upon them. From things as simple and enjoying a hobby can have you thrown in prison. In a country in which we are allowed to say and feel how we want, and especially think what we want. We tend to forget how fortunate we are to have this freedom. Not only this, but we live in a society in which most people care about others, or at least can’t turn their head away from helping someone in need of help. But what if we lived in a society in which hate was more popular than care? Or if care was looked down upon all together? Would the society be able to survive?
In North Korea, the citizens are so dependent on their leader. They are taught and told that everyone but their leader cares about them, and that all other countries are evil or bad. By limiting their communications with others, no one in the country is able to stand up or disagree because they know no better.
