The first instinct is conducting a research to acknowledge the pros and cons of a nuclear plant. This is a very difficult decision. Although there may be consequences, a power plant should be built because it will be beneficial to the residents. A Nuclear Plant will be efficacious to the residents in many ways. Living in a time that illnesses occur rapidly. A nuclear plant radiation will prevent illnesses from spreading. U.S.NRC states an article called “Radioactive Materials” that indicates “Irradiators sterilize medical equipment… a beam of radiation… is enough to kill any harmful germs…helps kill cancerous tissues, reduce size tumor, or reduction of pain.” …show more content…
No damages will occur to Mother Nature and for the upcoming generations; a power plant will be useful. As the world evolves, civilization evolves and in the future there will be electrical car instead of fuel. Therefore, electricity will be useful for transportation and other utilities. Although, a nuclear plant can be beneficial let’s look at the bad side. In the article “Radiation” it states that releasing some radio activity can be hazardous and can affect the environment. However, radio activity is in a strong containment. The containment is made of steel and the containment is 7 feet thick. Plus, the containment and radio activity is being monitor twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. In case, any incident happens the resident will have time to evacuate as soon as possible. Thus, in the article “Decommissioning” it states that “Decommissioning means shutting down the plant and taking steps to reduce the level of radiation so that the land can be used for other thing”.
