Industrialization had a positive impact on society. It turned the world into the modern world we see today. Factories were built, and the use of electricity increased. Industrialization caused captains of industry to emerge, the oil industry expanded, and the steel industry was revolutionized. Overall, there was many benefits from Industrialization. Captains of Industry emerged to make the U.S. a better place during Industrialization. Andrew Carnegie advanced steel, John Rockefeller advanced oil, J.P Morgan was a banker, and George Eastman advanced photography. All 4 of these men were huge philanthropists. Andrew Carnegie donated a total of $350 before he died. He donated to schools, libraries, museums, concert halls, and churches. All of these places would benefit greatly to the money he gave them. J.P. Morgan donated sculpture, paintings, and tapestries to the University of Chicago. The University would benefit from this because it would look better and be a better learning environment for the students. John Rockefeller donated $75 million to the University of Chicago alone. Using this money the University could buy more supplies, get better desks, make more schools for even more students, etc. George Eastman donated $20 million to Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Again, the Institute could make the itself a better place. If Industrialization was not to happen then these men would have never gained enough money to donate what they did. …show more content…

This was a good thing for america because it helped improve transportation. Oil was as cheap as water, and more effective than coal so trains would use them. Since oil was cheaper, train tickets probably were less money too. Cars also needed oil so the advancement in oil would help advance cars making them cheaper.
