In hard and difficult times, we tend to look for help and answers in several different places. One of the most looked for places is the bible. The bible has so many verses that could be taken in several different context to help you in many different situations. Psalms 121 is one of those verses that comforts you and lets you now that God is and always will be there with you. It lets you know that even in difficult times he will not let you down. My goal in this paper is to properly explain and breakdown this psalm in order for everyone to be able to use it for their everyday life and tribulations.

Explanation of Psalms
The region where all this took place is a very religious area. It is around Israel and Palestine. Other religious people in and around the Palestine area have many religious songs and poetry, so it should not come to us as a surprise that the Hebrews came up with such a vast and beautiful array of songs that praise their creator. According to the Layman’s Bible encyclopedia a Psalm is a sacred song or poem. The Hebrew title of the book of Psalms is sepher Tehillim, which means “book of praises. This name makes sense since a majority of these songs or poems reflect a personal relationship between the person writing the Psalm and God. It is obvious that most of the Psalms are written for or to God personally by the author of that particular Psalm.
