` Matrix Mayhem Being able to understand and adapt to your surroundings should be the base to human relationships with the people they love and others they don't, and the behavior they express in situations; That being the case, people who aren't able to comprehend the universe around them often begin to trigger psychological disorders. Previous studies have shown that three out of every 100 people will experience psychosis in their life. Psychosis isn't always a serious condition. While many people have mild symptoms and with treatment they recover quickly. Some symptoms of this one of a kind psychological disorder include hallucinations, delusions, inability to pay attention, and unusual beliefs. In this short story it is evident that Jerry Bocek is experiencing an intense psychotic episode. This complex disorder has puzzled many Neurological and Psychiatric specialists including Dr. Elton. “The Yellow Pill” is a short story about two men stuck on Earth. There are many people who believe the story could take place in space, but after close analysis of both characters' realities, the story takes place on Earth. Some may think the story takes place in space because Jerry was brought directly to Dr. Eltons office, normally Dr. Elton and any other psychiatrist needs to go to the hospital to meet patients of high risk like Jerry. This situation is unusual because police protocol “45 CFR § 164.512(f)(2)” explains that high risk patients like Jerry require the doctor to come to the patient. This is misleading because although it should have been required in a case like "Boceks, if the police officers believe he is well enough to be transported to the doctor clinic, the law permits.
