Queen Elizabeth I was a very head strong woman and independent woman, who knew what she wanted. She did not need a man to help her nor to help her live her life. Without ever marrying or becoming with child she was known as the "Virgin Queen". She was a woman who was before her time. Elizabeth went through a lot of turmoil as a child, but was later able to become Queen. She knew how to use her flirtation and femininity to her advantage, at which she did in her powerful state. She was able to pursue many suitors during her time as Queen, such as Robert Dudley and Francis, Duke of Alencon.
