He obviously meant the government works for the people and is made up of the people; however, what he didn’t say is what makes up all of us and how we govern or allow to be governed. A political ideology is “a consistent set of values and beliefs about the proper purpose and scope of government.” ("Quiz." Quiz. Web. 11 Sept. 2015.) It is important to have a political ideology because it shows the way a person wants to be governed and how a person wants the country run. One of the influences my parents had was drilling republican thoughts into my head for the past twenty years; however, I got placed as a Libertarian on all three quizzes. Although I scored the same on three, there were a few differences in the quizzes and how they explained my position to me. The first quiz was just a simple graph showing me where I scored on the graph as compared to where I had placed myself before the quiz. The second quiz was a nice, brief statement about what Libertarian’s generally stand for whereas the third quiz was cluttered with positions and over explanations of them all. Overall, I enjoyed the second quiz the most because of its direct and brief statement of how I scored. When comparing the amount of questions asked by all of the quizzes, I would say that the third quiz asked the most questions and asked the more difficult moral questions to analyze who I really am as a person. Unlike the second quiz, the third did not necessarily appeal to the younger generation due to the amount of questions and not having any of the basic rhetoric that people say day to day like the second quiz had. The first quiz as compared to third was merely a moderate version of it and it only asked what was morally right in a situation. In conclusion, the third quiz had a team of questions and an accurate
