I totally agreed with you. I too don't think Columbus Day should be a celebration of Columbus victory in discovering America. However, I do think we should keep the holiday and make it a day to grief for the lives lost from Columbus' violence and greed. I don't think Americans repay the Indians enough after putting them through such horror and genocide. Instead, we hurt them even more by naming a Holiday after their murder.
In an interview with Mike Wallace, Morgan Freeman says that he doesn’t like Black History Month. He says that he thinks having a month for black history isn’t going to end racism and that the one way to is to stop talking about it. Morgan Freeman is wrong to say so. If we want to get rid of racism, we need to demote it until it goes away. Otherwise people won’t see that the way they treat other races is wrong.
How would you feel if you and your family were denied the opportunity to a better life or had to wait years for one? The immigrants goal is to strive for a better future for themselves and their family. Coming here will help them achieve that goal. You may be thinking why cant they have a good future where they live? In some cases, the country they live in could be poor, not have many schools, is not safe, etc.

We being the the only country without an actual good border we lose life’s who protect our state's border by illegal immigrants, or illegal aliens. And to go on, letting them in if they had a passport is different then letting them illegally. They even bring an overwhelming amount of crime and drugs into the U.S. And wasting money on them is worse, most illegal aliens don’t even pay tax dollars, and when they do 50% of the tax dollars go to another government, as you can see, this is not okay.
