Racial profiling is a problem across the entire nation in law enforcement. In every community it differs to who is being oppressed, and it usually depends on the type of race and ethnicity the community holds. As to us, our culture and setting consist of a high percentage of hispanics and latinos, so here comes to our problem as to who is being targeted mostly in our racist issues with the police brutally. The problem we face in our community is the fact that being from the culture, we grew up in all policemen stereotype latinos for the way they make look or speak.
This article brought many points into light that many other articles were too sacred to bring up or simply did not want to bring up because the evidence went against their claim. This article talked about how racial profiling is often times misunderstood. To argue his point, he talks about how crime is never evenly distributed in cities and many times the places where there is the most crime is a part of town that lives in poverty. Often times this also means these parts of town are highly diverse. Policemen then, doing their job, watch these parts of town because of the high crime.

As a young black male in 2017, our society has me racially profiled. Anytime they see a young black male like myself, eyebrows raise. Society does not view us as equals, they view us as a minority even though we are a majority. We are viewed as the ground the walk on. They think we will never amount to anything.

Police officers engage in racial profiling when falsely accusing innocent individuals of committing crimes. The individuals who are most likely to be targeted are people of color, such as Hispanics and African American. This leads to serious mistrust and disrespect of police officers. Within the last few years, there have been multiple police shootings of minorities. Some believe that many of these shootings were unjustified and has led to violent protests in certain cities. It has also led to the Black Lives Matter movement. It is understanding why individuals become upset with law enforcement when they are constantly reminded of these incidents where minorities are shot and killed by police officers.

It happens in every corner of the world in the cities, workplace, communities, and countries in general. Racial profiling refers to the inequitable practice by authority officials targeting individuals for suspicion of any crime related based on the individual 's race, ethnicity, religion or national origin.
Profiling, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, is the act or process of extrapolating information about a person based on known traits or tendencies. It is, in other words, a way of gathering information about someone through observations. Just based on this definition alone, you would be easily fooled into thinking that profiling, especially racial profiling, is harmless and simply another topic that is beaten and thrashed by the media. However, a more detailed analysis of police practices tells us another story: profiling is an illegal and immoral practice that threatens to shake the foundations of our ethnically-integrated society.
Because of racial profiling based on religion, students are being discriminated unjustly in their educational environment. On September 14th, 2015, Ahmed Mohamed, a Muslim freshman of a high school, was arrested from his school because he brought a commercial digital clock, what he invented, to show his English teacher because he wanted to show her something smart. But she got it wrong because she thought it was a bomb. That’s why she impounded the project and sent him to the principal’s office. After that the school authority called the police and as a result he was arrested.
Any white person, not just police, engages in racial profiling when they suspect, avoid, follow, report or challenge a black person simply because of their race. Racial profiling affects all people of color, not just the teenager in a hoodie walking the streets after midnight in a large city. People often confuse criminal profiling as racial profiling, and sometimes there is a very thin line between the two. Criminal profiling is where you try to determine if a specific crime occurs a certain way, and if it is occurring by a specific person. It is becoming more so now that people are talking and discussing racial profiling.
