Our whole group met I could not make it because of SCAD transportation. I agreed to editing and the rest of the group agreed that I would edit the footage that they filmed. To make sugar glass we had to cook. The ingredients we used for this project are 2 cups of distilled water, 1 cup of light corn syrup, 3 1/2 cups of Sugar, and a 1/4 teaspoon of cream of tarter. First we add all ingredients into the metal cooking pot. After this we brought this mixture to boil, stirring it occasionally. We made sure to continue boiling this mixture on high until it reached three hundred degrees. This step took about 45 minutes. After this we sprayed a cookie sheet with the spray cooking oil. Following this we poured the mixture onto the cookie sheet and let cool for at least 1 hour. Finally the breakaway glass was finished. In this movie living dead zombies break through windows of glass in a pub to attack the living humans. The windows are really sugar glass and the actors are unharmed by this physical effect. Another great example of motion pictures that uses sugar glass is in quite a majority of western films or action films. When you see an actor hurled through a saloon window in a Western, the window is not real glass but made from sugar glass. Finding the history of Sugar Glass is hard since it is not mentioned much these days because computers have improved over the years, so much that digital simulations of shattering glass are easier and cheaper to pay for. In the latest Jurassic world, there are a few scenes when large computer generated dinosaurs are fighting and smash multiple windows. These windows they smash are digitally created and digitally manipulated to shatter. The reason sugar glass would not work for scenes with digitally created objects is that they are digital and would not be able to shatter the glass
