1. Kim Peek is different than most savants in multiple ways. One way is his brain size. In fact his brain has multiple abnormalities, such as having a malformed cerebellum. Due to this Kim has problems with coordination and mobility. However the one main difference in Kim’s brain compared to other servants is the absence of his corpus callosum, which connects the right and left hemispheres of the brain. By not having a corpus callosum some scientists believe that this cause more room for latent abilities to grow. One brain difference that has been found in Kim Peek is the absence of his corpus callosum, which is nerve tissue that connects the left and right hemisphere of the brain. I thought it was striking to know that Kim Peek’s IQ was only 87 because he has a “perfect” memory. I would of guest Kim to have an IQ around 140 or higher, which means he is an actual “genius”. However if he only recalls certain facts or events just from memory it doesn’t interact with critically thinking about a certain situation or applying it in working memory, so maybe that’s why his score was so low. 4. If I could interview Kim Peek I would first do a memory task, such as asking him to remember a certain set of numbers, or ask him about past events. Then I would take those events or numbers and create a critical thinking or social problem he would have to solve. I would also ask him what his least favorite activities to do and see if he can still recall past events that include these activities, just as fast as his other recall
