A wise man named Stephen King once said, “Books and movies are like apples and oranges, They both are fruit, but taste completely different.” The book and the movie look the same at first you can really see the differences. You can see Walter being so nasty and doing something at the end of the book and movie that is very unexpected more most readers and watchers. You also see so much racism in the movie but in the book you don’t really see racism except the Linder part. Last but not least seeing the characters move to the places you can only imagine but now you can see where they good and the hardship they have to face. In the movie version, Walter is shown more angry and nasty, which helps to show how much he changes by the end than the book. In the movie version, a scene between George and Walter is changed to show Walter’s mean side. George is talking about his father’s business and Walter gets mad about how George is so fortunate and did not have to work for anything. These changes in the movie version help to show how much Walter changes by the end of the movie. Immediately, Walter realizes that money isn’t everything and he doesn’t have to be upset about what George has in life because Walter has his family. For example, the Green Hat a bar where Walter goes to get a drink and all we get to hear is him talking about it. But in the Movie, you get to see maybe how Walters met Bobo and Willy. To add on, the jobs the younger's had were actually shown in the movie and more described also. Mama and Walter work but you can see how they work because Mama never really describes her job that often in the play but Walter does and you can see what job Walter has and why he does not like that job. Seeing where the youngers works helps me see why they really need the check in their
