When it comes to minimum wage, I stand in between. After seeing the pros & cons of both views I have found I’m for either or. If the government raises minimum wage to $10.10 an hour or $15 an hour, there will be good outcomes as well as bad ones too. For example, people who are working non skill jobs will be able to have more spending cash. One point on the other side of the issue however is there will be more unemployment. Over the course of this essay being read by whomever the viewer may be, they will hopefully understand why I sit where I do. Overall I stand in between, and agree with both sides of the issue.

One of the big pros of raising minimum wage is there is a lot more encouragement for people to work. Those who don’t work because of minimum wage being what it is, will have a bit of incentive to go out and work. This happening will also have another effect, less reliability on government programs. Since people will be encouraged to work there will be less reason for employees to quit work. Employers will then be able to keep their skilled workers and not have to worry about hiring unskilled laborers. Since they would end up paying more to their workers they will have to get rid of some workers and won’t want to hire ones who can’t do their job well anyways. …show more content…

Instead of people earning $7.25 an hour they will have higher wages to spend on things they may want if minimum wage gets raised. Workers will have more to spend and be able to go out and either buy new things or do more than they could beforehand. The economic stimulus will rise with more money being spent by workers. People could go from living check to check to living comfortably and able to have extra money to do things they might want to do. Teenagers could go from saving up for college but still needing a lot of loans to go to having less money to pay
