Ralph the Wonderful Leader Can someone be forced into being a leader? Yes. Someone could see all the qualities in a person necessary for being a good leader when that person cannot, so this person could pressure him/her into being leader. In the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding there is a big group of British boys that were put in a plan during World War II and got shot down. The British boys got strained on a deserted island where there was no else but the people who survived, so the boys had to learn how to survive on their own until they got rescued. Ralph from William Golding’s Lord of the Flies is a good leader because of his actions, appearance, and how the other characters respond to him. Ralph shows good leadership by some of his actions.
