To whom this may concern, On this 11th day of September, I Edmund Randolph will be presenting my solution to the catastrophes of our uncivilized government. As a citizen of the United States I believe we the body deserve a well organized, well established government that can’t be destroyed by surrounding countries. Here I present to you the Virginia plan. Keep in mind France has had a well organized and well thought out civilized government for many years. For this reason my plan provides 15 resolutions which are based on French political ideas. The plan which I assembled states a problem with one person having too much power over the country. I believe dividing power between a executive branch, legislative branch and a judicial branch will be key to this problem. The executive branch will be made of a couple of main leaders. The Legislative branch which will be the most powerful because they will elect the leaders of the executive branch and the last branch of government will be judicial branch which will be made up of the Supreme Court. The legislative will be made of 2 parts, the senate and the House of Representatives. The amount of representatives will be based on the population of the state. My plan includes provision which will allow other states to join the U.S. This will grant us as a country to grow and become more military powerful! …show more content…
