First, I will provide a back story to what happened and how the Frank family got into the annex in the first place. It all started when someone created Nazism, and blamed all of Germany's problems on the Jewish population. Hitler eventually took over and started invading multiple European countries and caused massive amounts of chaos. This chaos included locking up Jews into ghettos, putting them in extermination camps, and brutally executed them. The Nazis eventually reached The Netherlands, Amsterdam, where the Frank and Van Daan family hid into the annex for 2 years in a small enclosed space. The first reason is that she had a lot of optimism. Secondly, another reason is that she has hope that the war will end. Lastly, she never had a proper life and never knew much people. . Those are the reasons why I think Anne Frank said that that people are good at heart.

The first reason I mentioned is that she has obviously had a lot of optimism.Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.

The first reason I have talked about is her optimism. "Think of all the beauty still around you and be happy." That was one of the quotes that she wrote in a war torn 1940's in a small annex. Most people would have wrote and complained, but she is one of the few people who still admired the beauty still in this world.
In the play, you can see that she is very optimistic at most points. She was also in a war and on the verge of running out of supplies in the annex.
