Michael Lewis sheds the light on the many problems the American real estate face. Millions of Americans have bought homes which costs them beyond what they can afford. People are finding it hard to pay mortgages. On top of that, propagandists have given a promise that there will always be an increase in the real estate costs. Michael Lewis wrote this article to acknowledge the consequence of the horrific real estate crash, and the financial consequences that will get to the middle classes of people. Lewis gives his own evidence and showcases this major crisis. When Lewis insisted to move back to New Orleans, where he spent his childhood, he was in desperate need of a house. The real estate market had been low ever since Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. Lewis had always considered himself belonging to the upper- middle class, but he kept thinking of upgrading. His mansion is enormous and is the most lavish house on the street. The inside is spectacular. Parts of the house had gold paneled ceiling.
