Paris is one of the many killed in Romeo and Juliet, but who was to blame for his death? Paris is Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare was a cousin of the prince. He was considered a very attractive man who was favorited by Juliet’s parents for her to marry. Even though he was killed by Romeo there is a mystery for the reasoning. This reasoning brings a question. Who’s to blame for the Prince’s Death? Paris wanted to marry Juliet, but Juliet doesn’t love him. He later dances with Paris at the party but she finds Romeo and falls in love with him. He says to Juliet “Have not Saints Lips, and Holy Palmers Too” 1.4.100. This starts the love between the two lovers. Later, Paris is ready to marry Juliet so he tries to hasten the wedding causing Juliet to get desperate and take the potion. According to the story when she takes the potion Balthasar travels to Mantua giving false information that Juliet was dead. The main reason Paris was killed is when Romeo visits Juliet in the tomb and Paris is also there. When Romeo begs him to leave Paris stays and fights a desperate man who does not care about his own life thus making him even more dangerous. In the fight Romeo kills Paris ,but if he would have left the tomb he may have kept his life. Overall Romeo got in the way of Juliet and Paris’s marriage ruined. …show more content…
