What is irony? The dictionary definition of irony is a difference in what is expected and what happens. The situational irony in the Ransom of Red Chief creates humor and develops a theme by Red Chief's father being paid to take his own son back. The irony in the story is entertaining by developing an unexpected ending. In the ending, the kidnappers, Sam and Bill, pay the father to take his son back.
She says that he will show his worth by giving him his sword and shield and then put him into battle. Odysseus is also described as brave because he taunts Polyphemus after he escapes and calls him names. Odysseus isn't a hero at all. There are a lot of reason to throw out that will prove he ist a hero. Therefore .Odysseus reminds me of batman. The reason why, is batman doesn't have superpowers as a mortal god.
Odysseus is taking chances and risks by trying to return home and anyone who is an enemy will try to make it impossible or make it difficult for him. Hermia is taking a risk by disobeying her father and could ultimately lead her to death, but Hermia would do anything to be with Lysander. A difference between all characters are their personality. When people think about angels, they imagine them as flawless creatures with white wings and clothing. Angels are not supposed to look as if they were about to die. This is one of the cases where people judge others by their physical appearance instead of focusing on factors that could be more important.
Athena is a major character throughout the book of The Odyssey and is known as the goddess of wisdom and battle. Throughout the course of the book, it is evident that Athena has a weak spot for the main character, Odysseus. Odysseus is trying to return home after the Trojan War, as the other Greek hero’s have already done, however he faces multiple challenges a long the way. Fortunately, for Odysseus, Athena was there to guide him through a few of these troubling situations.
In Homer’s The Odyssey Odysseus goes on a journey to get back home from war. Along the way he goes through monsters, challenges, and obstacles that he has to face to make it back to reach his goal in the end. He has difficulties that change him as a person and how he reacts to events and points. This relates to me because even though both of our lives are different we have similarities.

It tells us that in lines 60-64. Together with the evidence of his strength, it is easy to see that Odysseuss is super strong, and has fantastic endurance to be able to fight for a whole day. Also, a good comparison to someone who can fight all day is a superhero. Finally, Odysseus should be a hero because of how strong he is and because he is able to fight a battle all
Odysseus is trying to get his family back and get rid of all his wife's suitors. Luke Skywalker from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope by George Lucas is a better epic hero than Odysseus from The Homerś The Odyssey, because Luke is more willing to risk his life for others and he is more humble than Odysseus. Luke is more willing to risk his life for others than Odysseus. When Luke, R2D2, C3P0 are attacked by Tusken Raiders, was hurt by one of the Tusken Raider.
Athena is known as the goddess of war. Odysseus was aided by her ideas on how to regain power through her tactical skills. The fact that the goddess warrior was on his side through the journey home, reclaiming his land, and killing the suitors was a huge advantage. Athena is very intelligent in how she strategizes and won wars in the past. Some may argue that Odysseus is the real hero but there were many times throughout The Odyssey where he needed Athena’s protection and input of logical ideas.
Odysseus: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Odysseus, he’s known as a war hero on his way back to his homeland, who ends up going on a ten year long journey due to unforeseen circumstances. On this journey, he encounters many monsters, many ladies, and we see his good side and his bad side. Due to the fact that he’s very noble and brave (and in an epic poem), that makes him an epic hero. He’s also a very famous archetype for The Hero.
Odysseus is the heroic character from The Odyssey by Homer, and Aeneas is the heroic character from The Aeneid by Virgil. Both men had fought on opposite sides of the Trojan War, a war fought at Troy. Odysseus fought for Greece, while Aeneas fought for Rome. Along with these basic things, the two heroes do have similarities, as well as differences. Both Odysseus and Aeneas are on a journey to get to home.
