Some people believe with the environmental laws set up today it will make
Arkansas a cleaner place, yet even with the laws there is still pollution in the Natural State. There is a reason why the state of Arkansas is known for its natural beauty and wildlife. Some of the most natural waterfalls and waterways can be found in the Ozark Mountains and Ouachita Mountain Ranges. For example, the High Bank Twin Falls and the Haw Creek Falls are two beautiful cascading waterfalls that are located northwest of the Ozark Mountains. The natural phenomenon of Arkansas’s nature is quite hypnotizing. The wildlife in Arkansas is a phenomenon in itself. Hundreds of white-tailed deer, elks, bears, and many other inhabitants call Arkansas extraordinary woodlands home. Many animals water supply come from Arkansas fresh natural rivers. Sightseers and travelers from across the U.S. come and marvel at the fierce splendor of the Natural State. People from immense cities go to Arkansas to escape the industrial life and the polluted air. The outdoor grandeur of Arkansas offers the people from great cities relaxation, tranquility, and a state of peacefulness. Of course, the Natural State has environmental laws that are supposed to protect and conserve Arkansas’s glorious nature. The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) protects and restores the natural environment. Ryan Benefield is the Arkansas department of environmental quality interim director and monitors the environmental regulations that are ADEQ’s specific rules for protecting Arkansas’s environment. Three of ADEQ’s regulations are the prevention of pollution in salt water and oil field wastes, water quality standards, and air pollution control code.
