1) Shulush Homa represented the relationship that existed between the Europeans and the Amerindians because just like the Europeans and Amerindians, Shulush Homa was given guns, gifts, and honors as a gift in return for his good-doings. 2) The Red Shoe 's experience from the period of European colonization reveals multiple themes. Second, after long period of isolation, the Americans began to participate in global events, being influenced by the economic and political demands of Europe.
Anita Diamant's refusal to limit The Red Tent to its biblical roots is what retains believability, reader engagement, and characterization. Often when a novel has basis in the Bible, previous knowledge of the tale reduces the gullibility of the reader, however, Diamant retains believability throughout The Red Tent. The events Diamant details throughout The Red Tent are all plausible, yet most are fictional. Some scenes not mentioned in the bible have just enough fantasy to keep the reader interested, and just enough credibility to be believed.

The world does not end with a whisper, or with a bang, but rather with a chorus of sirens that build up into a dull roar. The ground quakes beneath Sofia Brown’s cot and the air is hot, making her tent feel like a oven slowly cooking her alive. She’s up in a second, heart pounding and skin already soaked in sweat from the heat. There 's shouting outside as the rest of the soldiers in her tent start to wake. Charles, the commander of her unit, is already shoving on his boots with a calculated hurriedness.
“Situational Irony Used By Authors” Authors use situational irony to surprise the reader and create emotion. For example in “The Ransom of Red Chief” by O.Henry situational irony is used to create a humorous emotion for the reader. Also, “The Necklace” a short story by Guy de Maupassant creates a feeling of pity for Mathilde when she loses everything.
